Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Optical Components are Optical Components designed for the Infrared (IR) spectrum. Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) is used in a range of Optical Components, including Optical Windows or Optical Lenses, for applications including thermal imaging or FLIR. Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Optical Components are ideal for integration into CO2 laser systems because of its low absorption coefficient combined with its high resistance to thermal shock. Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Optical Components are not recommended for harsh environment.

Edmund Optics offers a variety of Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Optical Components, such as Optical Lenses, Optical Windows, Prisms, Plate Beamsplitters, or Focusing Objectives. Edmund Optics’ Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Optical Lenses are ideal for life science applications. Edmund Optics’ Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Prisms are designed for high transmission from 1 - 16μm. Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Plate Beamsplitters offer a 50% reflection/50% transmission ratio, in addition to excellent performance in the 7 - 14μm ratio. Zinc Selenide (ZnSe) Focusing Objectives provide maximum coupling efficiency between an Infrared (IR) light source and a single-mode or multi-mode fiber optic.
