Product Family Description

  • Oil and Water Repellent Coating
  • Ideal for Industrial and Harsh Environments
  • AR Coated for <0.5% Reflection in the Visible Spectrum

Hydrophobic Windows are designed to repel oil (oleophobic) and other liquids (hydrophobic), facilitating cleaning and ensuring maximum transmission of incident light. Hydrophobic treated surfaces cause liquids to form droplets on contact rather than be absorbed or spread across the surface of the optic. Hydrophobic Windows feature anti-reflection coatings to provide less than 0.5% reflection per surface from 425 – 675nm. These windows are ideal for harsh environments, portable handheld devices, or biometric measurement devices.

Indoor Hydrophobic Windows are ideal for applications where cleaning or abrasion is expected while Outdoor Hydrophobic Windows provide better performance both at elevated temperatures and under direct UV light exposure.
